The 21 Best Sandwiches & Wraps You'll Ever Eat.

By Unknown → Thursday, July 16, 2015
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of RO*TEL & VELVEETA for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
During parties and small get-togethers I often whip up a quick Queso for guest to snack on when they arrive. With the combination of RO*TEL and VELVEETA, Queso is zesty, creamy, yummy, and so easy to make. I literally just toss the two ingredients into the crock-pot and forget about it till guests arrive. Last weekend I decided to kick it up a notch with a few added ingredients to make a taco Queso dip. The results were delicious!! While I thought I may have made too much, our guests ended up eating every last bite. Queso For All
Taco Queso Dip with RO*TEL & VELVEETA
Ingredients
  • 2 cans RO*TEL
  • 1 package (32 oz) VELVEETA
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 lb ground beef
Optional ingredients (could be added to the crock pot or kept aside for guests to create their own unique dip to their liking.)
  • Diced onions
  • Diced olives
  • Diced jalapenos
  • Chopped parsley
  • Extra sour cream
  • Avocado chunks
Directions
  1. Add RO*TEL and VELVEETA to the crock-pot and set on low.
  2. Brown the beef and drain any excess liquid.
  3. Add the beef and any remaining ingredients to the crock-pot.
  4. Heat until all cheese is melted (about 2-3 hours), mix well and serve.

I prefer to add the onions, olives, and jalapenos to the dip. However, we had a couple guest who do not care for onions and olives and since there were little ones there as well, I chose not to add the jalapenos either. This worked out perfect as each guest was able to add their preferred ingredients to their liking.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

What is your favorite place to shop when you need to buy a few groceries but you don't want to deal hustle and bustle of the busy super markets?

For me, it's the local Dollar General.

I tend to get stressed out in crowded areas and unfortunately the super markets in my town are always crowded. Lucky for me though, there is a Dollar General a few blocks from my house! I can usually find the most of the items on my shopping list there, and they are never crowded. This is especially true around the holidays. Last year I was able to purchase the a lot of my baking ingredients, presents, and gift wrap at dollar general.

Speaking of holidays..., you guys are in for a real treat today because this recipe is amazing. If you decide to try any new recipes this season, make this the one! The sweet potatoes, apple sauce and buttermilk in this recipe do an amazing job at keeping the bread amazingly soft and moist.

Sweet Potato Bread

Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Cook Time: 25 Minutes

Total Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Can Sweet Potatoes (drained)
  • 2 Tbs Apple Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1 3/4 Cups Flour
  • 1 1/4 Cups Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tbs Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat Over to 350* and grease your bread pans
  2. Combine sweet potatoes, apple sauce, vegetable Oil, buttermilk, and vanilla in medium sized bowl. Mix until well.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and light brown sugar in large bowl. Mix well.
  4. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Using a spoon, mix until well blended making sure not to over mix.
  5. Cook until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. My muffins were done in about 18-20 minutes and the mini loaf pans took about 25 minutes. You could also cook in a 9x5 loaf pan for about an hour although I have not tried that size it so I'm not sure.

  1. Preheat Oven to 350* F
  2. Lightly grease two  9x5 inch backing pans.
  3. In a large bowl combing eggs, sugar, oil, apple sauce, vanilla, and water. Beat until well blended.
  4. Stir is pumpkin puree, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and ginger

  6. Add the dry ingredients to your pumpkin mix and stir until well blended.
